Leah Bishop is the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project. Located in Tucson, Arizona, the Florence Project is the only organization in Arizona that provides free legal and social services to the 5,000 immigrants incarcerated in detention facilities around the state. Leah is a community educator, raising awareness of immigrant detention through writing, speaking, training, and fundraising. Prior to working at the Florence Project, Leah attending Hendrix College, a UMC affiliated school in Arkansas, where she earned a B.A. in Political Economy with a focus in Migration.
